As an actor, what stories can I help you tell?
As an actor, what stories can I help you tell?
I am a highly educated actor, teacher, volunteer firefighter, and martial artist. Being an army brat, I grew up always being the new kid on the block. I nurtured a deep sense of empathy thanks to my differently-abled sister. These two experiences allowed me to always be 'on' and helped me develop a strong desire to perform. Intent on living my dream, I attended the Vancouver Film School (VFS) and graduated with a Certificate of Acting for Film and Television.
Subsequently, I completed a couple of Bachelor's Degrees and then a Master's of Arts in Education. I have been a high-school English, Math, and Spanish teacher. In addition, I have trained in Shotokan karate since 1995. I currently hold a Second Degree Black Belt and am an expert in Self-Defense and personnel security. I have also been a Certified NCCP Karate Coach since 2007. Karate has taught me discipline and stick-to-itness as well as has allowed me to flex my positive female role model muscle.
Flash forward about 20 years after VFS, I moved to a small, rural town with my little family of 3. That's where the momentum for my acting career really started to build. I acted in various community theatre productions and then landed the title role of Eliza Doolittle in Winding Rivers Arts and Performance Society's rendition of My Fair Lady. Shortly after, thanks to my rave reviews, I was offered my first credited film role in Juggernaut.
I am currently a working actor who is super excited about the industry boom in the Okanagan. I am also eager to branch out into the television market in Vancouver. Please see my resumé for the details of my experience and skills.
For the last few years, I have been auditioning for film and television productions. I have been taking various acting classes and just started working on Voice work.
